Sue Richards-is a four-time U.S. National Scottish Harp Champion, and Liz Knowles, the featured Irish fiddler on the Michael Collins soundtrack, who toured with Riverdance.

Celebrate the joyous spirit of the holiday season, Celtic traditions & all of the best things about Christmas.

With crackling energy and brilliant performances, Ensemble Galilei presents timeless Christmas classics, Celtic carols from Galicia, Spain, Scotland and Ireland, Medieval and Renaissance dance tunes, and original compositions to mark the winter solstice. From conservatory rehearsal rooms to all night sessions at Irish pubs, a montage of Early Music and Celtic tunes blend and a glorious new sound is born. Featured on NPR'S All Things Considered, radio host Robert Siegal said, "They've pioneered what they call "chamber folk", a mix of contrasting styles and instruments that works beautifully together." Recorded in the historic Great Hall at St. John's College it captures the warmth, richness, and stunning clarity of the instruments. Music from this album has been selected for a National Public Radio Holiday Feature.
